Chestnut & Burgundy
Age: 2

Play till your drop could be Burgundy’s and Chestnut’s motto in life! When you see one, the other one is never very far away and if for some reason, one starts getting too far ahead on walks, the one with the “slow” walker always gets very anxious and starts barking in a high pitch tone and pulling to catch up with his brother. Needless to say that their bond to each other is so evident that we couldn’t separate them even though this might make them “more” adoptable.

As little puppies, they quickly got adopted together, only unfortunately to be brought back a little over a year later because they had no time. Very sad that their family couldn’t live up to the commitment they made when they adopted them. Burgundy (the one with the gray merle neck) and Chestnut (with white neck) would be great companions for a fun-loving and active family that would, this time, be dedicated to them. These two handsome guys bounce around in the play area, zipping by you, jumping on each other and even laughing as they body-slam each other’s chest. They are also full of wits, trying to outsmart each other in what direction they are going to take off – very entertaining and funny to watch! And every day is a different show!

Burgundy and Chestnut are full of life and shouldn’t be sitting in a kennel when all they would love to do is run as fast as the wind and then snuggle up with people at night. They are active dogs so just a slow walk for exercise will not be enough for them. However if you need a little push to get out and get some fresh air, or even if you were looking all along for a reason to do so, this duo would mind helping you remain active year-round, even if it is just having fun in a fenced-in yard.

They are about a year and a half old.

    Diante
Age: 4

His first name should be play and his last name love, this would summarize Diante’s personality in two words. This guy is always very inquisitive and creative in finding reasons to play or objects that he can turn into toys. He is also quite the social type with both cats and people. Isn’t this what life is all about? Found as a stray, he always seeks loving and never takes no as an answer. A volunteer said that he is so full of it…love that is, what were you thinking, he would do great in any home! Do we have to add that he is one her favorites?

Lindsay
Age: 6

The self-entertainer, Lindsay loves playing with little balls by herself. She throws it in the air, then quickly chases, grabs it and then does it over and oever again. Of course, it is a lot more fun if someone is available to throw the ball or a small kong. She gets all excited, letting out happy grunts as if encouraging you to throw it as far as you can. After all that running and chasing, some rolling around on the ground is just perfect for a complete relaxation. If she is comfortable with you, she’d expect nothing less than a belly rub. Lindsay would thrive in an adult-only home that could at times appreciate her independence. They would also need to be willing to take it slow in order to build a trusting relationship.

    Mimic
Age: 14

With a perfect make-up and elegant features, this lady couldn't understand all the troubles she was causing. There had never been any talks of allergies in the past and she thought life the way she had always known it would continue once these issues got taken care of. Unfortunately it came to a halt for her. Mimic is not the in-your-face type of cat, more on the reserved side though quite affectionate. She would probably prefer a home with no dogs or cats that would be too active.

Posey
Age: 2

Almost an identical twin to Tootsie Pop, incl. the milky eye, Posey has the same personality as her sister, Tootsie Pop. If you approach her and she can see you and your hand, she’ll give you a little enigmatic smile – yes go ahead and pet her. There you go, see, she is just a sweet little girl with an Egyptian kitty face. Approach her too fast and she takes off, but never very far. She is a smart girl, just wanting to make sure she won’t pass an opportunity at a home. She also gets along great with other cats so whether you are looking at adding a cat or would like to start a feline family, she might be your new girl…and maybe her sister too!

    Sunny
Age: 6

Curly fluffy tail whirling in the play, ears flip-flopping, a big grin and a lot of puppy energy…this can only be Sunny! The first few minutes outside are spent running into big circles in the play area. Of course during the summer, after all that running around, you get hot and he then spends some time literally splashing around in the pool, even sometimes to the point where a refill was necessary. You just can't help but smile. Given up by his family because of protectiveness issues, Sunny seemed to be quite scared at first. When he was brought in, someone had also witnessed his family lifting him off the ground by the leash while he was whimpering. He would love a guardian with doggie common-sense and a fenced-in yard, even a small one, where he could make some donuts in the snow and enjoy a kiddie pool in the summer.
